The petition states:
We, the electronically undersigned here, do fully support the efforts of The MAGIC Foundation on behalf of children everywhere in medical need of growth hormone therapy. We support the physicians and believe that they are the best ones to determine who "needs" the medicine. We support making this difficult process as easy as possible for families confronted with serious and ongoing medical challenges for their children. We deny the need for Federal Law to contribute further restrictions on medications in response to celebrity or athletic abuse of the drug. We - the majority of those impacted by this problem and the only ones with TRUE medical need, demand that we are protected against further legislation because of the illegal acts of others. It is time that those who created this problem are held accountable, not the children!
