Introduction

Family privacy is a primary responsibility of the foundation. Therefore, facebook pages, online communications and other social "gathering" places for MAGIC families are ALL closed groups. However, we do have numerous families who are willing to share their personal stories.

To schedule an interview with a MAGIC representative or affected family contact: Dianne Kremidas, Executive Director at Dianne@magicfoundation.org or call (708) 383-0808.

Below are some helpful links to general information. On the left side of this page are additional links you might find helpful.

Fact Sheet  - Facts about the Foundation's purpose, membership and how to help identify and support children with growth disorders.

The MAGIC Foundation encompasses many disorders. If you are searching for information and do not see it on this site, please contact our office or visit our Rare Disorders section for a current listing of disorders we assist.

There are foundation representatives available for interviews by appointment. Additionally, we have  parent representives pertaining to specific disorders who may also be available. We can assist you in contacting medical specialists as well.

NOTE: It is crucial that all media representatives understand:

1. We protect the privacy of our families. You will not be given the names of families. Instead, they will be contacted by us and given your names.

2. We do not consider working with any type of media which involves disguises, sensationalism or other tactics which would be harmful to "our" children.

We DO promote public education so that parents understand the meaning of the scribbles they make on the walls as they tell their children, "Stand up tall so I can measure you and see how big you are getting!"  This type of information has helped us (lay parents) reach out to medically unidentified children (some of whom had brain tumors among other disorders) early enough to make a dramatic and real change for their lives.

If you are interested in assisting our Educational Outreach efforts in a fair and protective way, we will work tirelessly and diligently to help you.
