Septo Optic Dysplasia / Optic Nerve Hypoplasia

sod 1A child with Septo Optic Dysplasia (SOD) has under developed nerves from the eye to the brain (optic nerve hypoplasia [ONH]).

People with Septo Optic Dysplasia may also have abnormalities of the brain and a poorly functioning pituitary gland.

Both conditions may involve multiple health systems and impact a child's healthy growth.
